Happy New Year, moms! Remember that, as a mom, you're a powerful force in the lives of your kids and partner. Make new year's resolutions that relieve stress and improve your life, not resolutions that add more stress. Here are some that I'm committing to, for you to use inspiration. 15 New Years Resolution Ideas that Will Make Your Life Easier

I will make my bed when I get up for the day. Nothing fancy. Just pull up and smooth the covers. This gives you your first accomplishment of the day!

I will begin my day with at least three positive affirmations about myself and my kids. Today will be a great day!

I will do something nice for myself each day (walk, exercise, buy flowers, wear an outfit that makes you feel good!) When you feel good, you'll naturally share that positive vibe with others!

I will give each child at least one hug in the morning and one at night to let them know how much they mean to me.

I will talk to my partner and kids each day to get under the hood and cultivate a strong relationship.

If I feel myself getting frustrated or overwhelmed, I will take a five-minute time out (see Five Minute Hacks for Busy Moms (it's free!)

When someone asks me to make a commitment to something, I will pause and take some time to consider whether it's something I should do.

I will learn to say no gracefully so that I don't overcommit and overload!

When I see a toy or something out of place, I'll put it away. There's no sense waiting until there are ten things scattered around. Nip clutter in the bud.

I will try to outsource or simplify household tasks that I'm not good at.

In everything I do, I will remember the principle that "People are more important than things, activities, or achievements." I will make decisions with this as my guiding rule.

I will love myself so that I can love others authentically.

When I have a bad day, I will remind myself that each morning I get a do-over!

I will approach each day with a positive outlook towards the good things that will happen rather than fear of bad things that might happen.

I will trust that I am a good enough mom and the perfect mom for my own child.
